Festival Highlights 2025
Longford Lights Festival 2025 promises an exciting programme of installations, events and performances. We have over 50 artists and performers coming from all over Ireland, UK, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Poland and Finland.
Metamorphosis
An amazing spectacle of music, singing, percussion, pyrotechnics, and puppetry all brought together by a giant projection in Connolly Barracks.
Crainn Caillte (Lost Trees)
UK-based sculptor and lighting artist Michelle Dufaur returns to work on Crainn Caillte lanterns with the County Longford ICA federation.
Oculucis
Oculucis, by Italian artist Hermes “Hem” Mangialardo, are two giant illuminated spheres that transport the viewer on an emotional and conceptual journey.
Lúminaria
Backstage Theatre's magical play Luminaria brings the audience on a journey into the unknown, through live action, puppets and music.
You've Been Framed
Interactive installation, by Petrina Prunty, which explores the concept of diffraction between the virtual world and reality — a space to "frame” images.
The Labyrinth
Sculptures made from wood, recycled materials, isolon and light. Ulrike Liebetrau aims to spark dialogue on the theme of Reuse-Reduce-Repair-Rethink.
