Longford Lights Festival 2025 is an evening event taking place over four days at the main festival site in Connolly Barracks and at various locations around Longford Town.
Entry to the main festival site in Connolly Barracks is by ticket only. Connolly Barracks entry times are at the set times of 6.30pm, 7.30pm, and 8.30pm. Once in, you can stay as long as you like. You should expect to spend approximately 1.5 hours in the main festival site to see all the installations. There are food stands, seating, and toilets on site.
Entry to Luminaria in St. John’s Hall is by ticket only. Family shows are on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February at 5:30pm and 8pm.

Located in the north midlands Longford is easily accessible, no matter how you arrive this town is rarely more than a couple of hours away.
By Road: The Dublin-Sligo N4 / Dublin -Westport N5 route / Cavan-Athlone N55 Route.

By Bus: Dublin-Sligo / Dublin-Ballina / Cavan-Athlone

Wheelchair parking at VEC building Battery Road.
There is free parking on the street and in town carparks after 6pm.

Accessibility at Longford Lights
At Longford Lights we’re committed to making our Festival as accessible and inclusive as possible, with each year building upon our accessibility measures.
Venues
Most of the exhibitions are outdoors and are universally accessible. One indoor exhibition venue has narrow door entrances (75cm) that may not accommodate all wheelchairs sizes.
Concession Tickets
One free carer is available per person with additional needs who cannot visit the Longford Lights unaided.
Guide Dogs
Guide Dogs are welcome.
Accessible Seating
There is accessible seating distributed throughout the site and a dedicated Marquee for people to sit.
Raised Viewing Platform
The raised viewing platform is available for wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility. Access to the platform will be on a first come basis. Only customers and an essential companion will have access to the raised viewing platform in order to accommodate as many customers as possible
Emergency Procedures
Lost Person Policy
If persons are report missing in the festival campus, the following procedure will be activated:
Gates will be temporarily closed. The missing person’s description will be hailed on the emergency public announcement system. Stewards, Gardai and Civil Defence will be notified to join the search.
First Aid
First Aid, provided by Longford Civil Defence at the festival.

Contact – 0873496981 during or after the festival to locate items.
Emergency Procedure
The event controller will notify the public on the emergency loudspeakers. All Stewards will guide the public out through Emergency Exits.
